Fall break is finally here! For many of you, it is a time to wind down and catch a short break from school before finals roll around. You get to spend some quality time with family and some quality time with Netflix. Here are five TV shows and movies to avoid your family over break.
1. Bob's Burgers
This is a cult favorite and almost everyone has seen it before, but it never gets old. The Belcher family is an adorable suburban family that gets into all sorts of witty antics. This Best Animated series winner is sure to make you laugh.
My favorite episode: Season 3, Episode 12 "Broadcast Wagstaff School"
2. Stranger Things
This Netflix original is guaranteed to get you hooked from the start. Several people go missing without any trace and there is much speculation as to where they went. This thriller is only one season, but you will want to binge watch it and count down to season two.
3. BoJack Horseman
This is another Netflix original and one of my absolute favorites. This show deals with some very dark concepts and is a must watch. BoJack Horseman is a washed up sitcom celebrity who is dealing with severe depression and a drinking problem. There are only three seasons on Netflix and I am counting down to season four.
My Favorite Episode: Season 3, Episode 4 "Fish Out of Water" (watch all of the episodes in order to make the most sense)
4. Sing Street
New to Netflix this week, this movie is a fun one about a band in a high school created to impress a girl. The music is fantastic and it had me singing along the whole time
5. Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father
I have always been a huge documentary fan and this is by far my favorite. The story is addressed to the son of a man who was murdered by his wife. It is very well made and a heart wrenching story that has you hooked from the beginning. If you are interested in documentaries, I highly suggest this one.
No matter what, you can't go wrong with a little bit of Netflix and turkey this Thanksgiving!
