5 TV Characters Who Died Too Soon

While many seasoned fans of the primetime shows are mourning the loss of their favorite television series, the most avid TV enthusiasts are still mourning the lost of characters who were gone too soon. These characters somehow captured our hearts in odd and exciting ways. We enjoyed watching them because no matter what they did, good or bad, it somehow made us freak out for next week's episode and dread the week ahead, the waiting game. Here are the top 5 deaths that happened far before that character's time.

5. One of the deaths that affected most Netflix viewers in 2014 was Orange Is The New Black's Yvonne "Vee" Parker played by Lorraine Toussant. She is (was) one of those characters that made your gears grind. Her dirty ways of sneaking around, ruining the lives of the women who thought their lives couldn't get any worse. With a reputation that preceded her, the arrival of Vee in the hit Netflix original caused a stir in the show, and with the audience. Her death however was significant, it gave relief and sadness to the audience. Who knows what else Vee would have done if Big Red hadn't hit her with a car?!

4. Lawrence Kutner from House didn't really phase audiences due to the lack of a death scene. However, his wit and personality that balanced the extremes of House and Thirteen make his death one to recognize.

3. If you have ever had a guilty pleasure TV show, The Vampire Diaries would be it. And if you don't have a crush on Damon and Stefan Salvatore, then who are you? But really, can we discuss this past season? This one may rival number 2 for me. Caroline's mom, Sheriff Liz Forbes, finally succumbs to her season long cancer that wrenches the hearts out of audiences and some innocent bystanders, when Caroline turns off her humanity.

2. Mark Sloane and Lexi Grey, from Grey's Anatomy make a dynamic duo for spot number 2. If you have been with Meredith since day one of this popular drama, then you know why this death hit us so hard. Finally finding someone who is family and loves her without some sort of cruel personality, Lexi is the sister Meredith never had. She finally becomes close to her and somewhat of a mentor and then they crash in a plane.

The crash that totally changed the balance in this show for good and bad. Do I even need to explain why Mark Sloane is on this list or does recognizing his nickname of "McSteamy" say enough? Either way, the heart wrenching scene where Mark and Lexi finally convince each other of their love only to die underneath that plane is the most tragic thing we have seen on the show, well, almost.

1. George O'Malley, A.K.A. 007. Could you imagine the intern years for Meredith Grey and Christina Yang without George? Well, neither could we until he decided to join the army. A noble cause that only rooted him more into our hearts. The fact that he died saving someone else? Only hurts more. After getting hit by a bus to the point of being unrecognizable, George O'Malley spent his remaining days as "John Doe" in the hospital, ultimately succumbing to death. He tops of the list of terrible character deaths.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
