5 Thoughts You Had At Taylor Swift's "1989" World Tour

Let's all just go ahead and face the reality that you either love Taylor Swift or you hate her (but actually secretly adore her). I am an unashamed Taylor Swift lover. We've gone through many seasons of life together, and she's been a loyal friend through it all. I know I'm not the only one that associates certain boys with specific songs of hers because let's be real, she somehow knows all of our love lives whether we admit it or not.

About two months ago, the world stood still for a solid three minutes when my rockstar of a mom won two tickets to Taylor Swift's concert on the radio. Immense joy and celebration followed.

Like I said, I have no problem professing my obsession with the dreamy human that Taylor Swift is. I've seen her in concert about five or six times. On the "Speak Now" Tour, her surprise guest was Nelly. My sister and I were in the pit. Nelly reached out to grab my hand; I panicked and held on for probably 10 seconds too long. I may have cried after. I don't even love Nelly, but these are the kinds of things that Taylor Swift's concert do to you.

However, nothing on this earth could have prepared me for the "1989" World Tour that I attended last Wednesday night. And because not all of you were #blessed enough to go, I'm going to walk you through a few of my thoughts from the evening.

1. Vance Joy is a MAN.

And if you haven't come to recognize this yet, you're seriously missing out. He opened for Taylor and serenaded all 45,000 of us in Minute Maid Park. He has the voice of an angel, and I just might have fallen in love that night.

2. I don't know what these light-up bracelets taped to all of the seats are for, but I know it'll be epic.

It totally was. Basically, Taylor Swift's minions conducted a legendary light show from some system within the park...on the wristbands that all of Taylor Nation was wearing. It was incredible.

3. I need to know who the surprise guest is. Right now.

As Tay was building up the crowd's anticipation, I was searching my brain to try and figure out who in the world the surprise guest would be. On the drive down to Houston, I may or may not have stalked her Instagram to review who exactly had already performed with her. My guess was Sam Smith. My best friend guessed Ed Sheeran (I personally thought that was too predictable). And then, lo and behold, Wiz Khalifa emerges. Madness ensued.

4. How many couples are having a date night right now?

There were a lot. Major props to the guys who won over their girl's hearts by spending an evening belting Taylor's songs together...you win.

5. If I could be any animal, I would be Taylor Swift's cat, Olivia.

I don't even like cats. But throughout the evening, pictures and videos of Taylor Swift and her cats would pop-up on the giant jumbotrons, and it just felt right. She is the ultimate cool, cat lady.

This truly doesn't even begin to cover the wide range of emotions and feelings that I experienced at her concert. But one thing is for sure, she did not disappoint.

So here's to you Tay, and mom...you're the real MVP here.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
