Staying with the holiday theme we have going, I thought Id share what Im thankful for this holiday season, and let everyone know. Sometimes we look over the small things, but those are the ones we should be the most excited for. The things we don't take time to stop and think about in our daily lives.
1. Our Friends:
Even though they drive us insane at times, they put up with us as well. They know how to cheer up our day, and know exactly when we need a good laugh. Even though it seems small, let your friends know you are thankful for them. A simple "Hey, thanks for doing life with me", goes a long way".
2. Education/ Professors:
For many of us this seems ridiculous. But yes, you should be thankful for the education you're getting. Its something SO many people would love to have, so don't take it for granted. Be thankful you get to submit a 2,000 word paper every now and then.
3. Technology:
Again, this is something we may overlook because it seems so small, but we should be thankful for our iPhones, and computers that allow us to do anything at the click of a button. Say a "thank you" to Siri, I promise you'll get a kick out of her response.
4. Memories:
This one is unique, but sometimes we don't stop to think of all the great memories we've made this far. Theres probably plenty out there that you don't remember. As weird as it sounds.. shout out to Time Hop for reminding me of my "dramatic" middle school years.
5. Your Parents and The People You are Closest to:
Lets be real here, family will dive you nuts sometimes, but they are the people who will love you unconditionally. Cousins, Aunts, and even your Uncle Mike. A "thank you" to mom and dad are always in need, and I promise they'll love hearing it.
Whatever it is you're thankful for this year, make it known, because you never know when the last time you'll have it with you. Happy holidays, from my family to yours!
