5 Things You Need To Know About "Project Power" Before You Watch It.

The Power Project was something really special to watch. You will not find any spoilers in this article, GO WATCH THE MOVIE! You will find my honest take on how well the movie was put together.

1. This is not your typical superhero movie

Before I wrote this I went and read other reviews of this movie. I had already watched the movie twice and my mind was made up that I enjoyed it. One common theme that I saw through the reviews is that it is "familiar" as far as superhero movies go. I respectfully disagree. I can right off the top of my head think of one movie that Power Project is SIMI-reminiscent of and its not a superhero movie. The individuality that each actor brings to this movie makes it its own. ...I was hesitant to refer to this film as a superhero movie. It wasn't the vibe I got. I got a much different vibe, one more along the lines of science rather than supernatural, or lab disaster like you see in so many other superhero movies. In my perspective (I'm a HUGE superhero movie fan!) you see a bit of "self righteousness", maybe a "God Complex" with many superheroes, I didn't get that vibe from this film. It was much… cooler?

2. You are in for a visual treat

The special effects, the camera work, the editing, it was all very masterfully done. The costumes and make-up were equally as impressive. This is 1000% a movie that would have WOWED on the big screen!

3. The music was AMAZING

There is a very specific thing I'm getting at here BUT I promised no spoilers! On that note, Chika is a lyrical GODDESS

4. The casting is ON POINT

John Papsidera knew what he was doing when he assembled this lead trio. Jamie Foxx Joseph Gordon Levitte, and Dominique Fishback all have outstanding credits on their own - you throw these three together and you get pure magic on your screen.

5. The ending

Again, I promised no spoilers but, what I will say is that it is absolutely set up for a part 2 and THAT my friends, makes me one very happy lady!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
