5 Things We've All Said To Our College Friends

College has a way of bringing out the real you... and of course living with your classmates 24/7, they get to witness EVERYTHING. Here are a few things I know we have all said to our college friends one time or another!

1. I NEED COFFEE!

College means 8 am classes and lots of late nights thanks to all of the procrastinating you did during the day. Thus, caffeine is recommended -- no, caffeine is required -- for functionality!

2. I'm going to go take a nap...

Like coffee, naps are essential in every college kid's daily routine. Without naps, we would all be walking around like complete zombies (more than usual). We've all had those days when you just know you need a 20-minute nap before class... and then you sleep for the next 4 hours straight. That my friends is a good nap!

3. Ok, one episode and then I'll study.

Oh honey who are you kidding? No one only watches just one...

4. Want to get some food?

We all say that we are going to eat every meal in the dining hall, and eat as healthy as possible. Inevitably though, you arrive there and everything looks and tastes absolutely repulsive. Thus, you and your friends will leave within 5 minutes and pile into your car to head out on a McDonald's run. Goodbye healthy living, and hello french fries! :)

5. I love you guys <3

Yes college can be stressful and you will be sleep deprived and caffeinated most of the time, you will also meet lifelong friends. They study, eat junk food, nap alongside you, and support you in whatever you do. So go on that late night McDonald's run and cherish the friends that God has placed in your life!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
