Everyone has that one friend who's always DTF (down to frolic). You know, that person you can always count on to text at 3 a.m. to go to Taco Bell and they say they'll be at your door in 10 minutes. If you can't think of anyone you know like this, you're the adventurous friend. This post is dedicated to you and all of the other adventurous friends out there who keep life interesting for everyone.
1. Thank you for keeping me up to date with all the cool concerts/festivals happening In NC.
Without you, I would probably only go to one concert a year and I'd have enough money for gas, food, and other basic necessities, but why would I want that when I can jam out to the latest and greatest band to hit the east coast?
2. Thank you for going with me to Target when I'm bored.
I know you're not bored, that's why you're the adventurous friend, but you wouldn't dare pass up an opportunity to clean out the dollar section and drink a cherry Icee. I mean, who would?
3. Thank you for finding new places to hike and things to do outside.
I never realized how great the outdoors were until someone hung up an Eno next to a river and made me lay in it. There's nothing better than watching the sun set behind the mountains or over the ocean, especially with a great friend.
4. Thank you for exploring new cities with me.
Whether it's new parts of Greenville that we've never been to, or a city we've never been too at all, thank you for being down to possibly getting lost in the middle of nowhere or finding our new favorite coffee shop.
5. Thank you for the little "adventures."
By adventures, I mean me texting you at 12 a.m. to go to Walmart to get a bag of goldfish, and your saying, "Of course, I'll go!" Thanks for letting me pick you up to go to Walgreens for 15 minutes or PetCo. to look at the cats.
Thank your adventurous friend today, if you haven't already. These are the people that you need to keep around forever. Without these people, the world would be so boring and lazy. This one's for you, adventurous friend, thanks for making the world a little less awful.
