There are so many people on this earth and everyone is different, but one thing that can be a little more even in height.

Most girls are usually not taller and then those of us that are it becomes a whole other world. From dating to clothing being tall can have its advantages and disadvantages and sometimes neither one is very helpful. But if you are a tall girl these things are probably things that you have dealt with before and speaking from experience I have.

1. Trying to find someone taller than you can be a struggle

This is seriously so hard, but when you find that handful of people who are taller than you, you want them to be your friends forever. This is especially hard when you are trying to get into a relationship because it can be harder to date someone shorter than you. Especially if you want to wear heels. But when you have that time where you finally find someone taller than you, it is like the heavens have opened up and all is well in the world.

2. Wearing heels is almost impossible

There are always those moments where you have that one pair of heels you are just dying to wear, but when most of your friends are shorter than you this is pretty much impossible. Since you are already tall, you don't want to tower over everyone more wearing heels, so they get sacrificed for flats. Plus when your boyfriend is shorter than you and you want to wear heels, the height difference makes it hard.

3. Finding good clothing is hard

Trying to find clothing that actually fits well can be hard. Since you're already taller, a pair of shorts that would look fine on someone shorter look super short on you because of your height. The same goes for dresses the ones that might fit normally on someone else tend to look shorter on you.

4. You always get asked to get things for others

Your height can be an advantage and a disadvantage, more so the second one if you have short friends. If you do, most of the time they will end up asking you for something that they can't quite reach, so you have to do it for them.

5. When people ask you how tall you are

You easily get tired of people constantly asking you how tall you are. After this it then transfers to all these other types of questions about your height. Do you like being tall? How's the weather up there? Are you taller than your friends?

In the end, it pays off to be taller most of the time, but there can be some minor inconveniences. No matter what though, whether you are tall or short, you shouldn't let people judge you based on how you look. Love yourself because you are unique and there is only one you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
