I like to think that I am an all-around decent guy who doesn't ask for much and I often find pickiness obnoxious. However, there are some habits and mannerism that I can not help but be picky about.

1. Knowing the difference between "your" and "you're"

I can not describe how hard I cringe when I see a social media post of any kind incorrectly use "your" in place of "You're". The distinction isn't that hard to understand and grasp. Other words that fall into this category are to vs. too, then vs. than, and of course their, there, and they're.

2. Referring to the semester before summer as "last year"

OK, I admit this one is very picky and of course they technically are referring to the last academic school year, but my mind doesn't work like that. If someone says that something happened "last year" how am I supposed to know if you meant earlier that same year or literally last year when referring to something on the academic calendar.

3. Using my shirt to open the door handle in public restrooms

There are plenty of times where I have seen a guy use the restroom but walk straight out of the room without washing their hands. I'm not taking any chances.

4. Sleeping in as much as possible

This is a BIG mood for every college student. While I do enjoy a nice, quiet morning, I enjoy sleeping even more. It's not even that I'm not a "morning" person, I just need my sleep!

5. My friends

There are a lot of people that I am acquainted with, but not friends with. Not everyone can be your friend and not everyone needs to be. It's very important in today's world to know who you can trust and sometimes people have to learn that the hard way. I'd rather skip the drama and be cautious beforehand.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
