Congrats, you are part of the 20 percent of the American population that is born with dimples. Oddly enough, dimples are a muscle deformity. Your dimples grace your cheeks and add character that no other physical feature has the power to do. Since you were born with them, you see them every day when you look in the mirror so you most of the time, you don't really notice them. However, others definitely do notice them. Behold 5 things all people with dimples know to be true.

When you meet people for the first time your dimples are the first thing they notice about you ... and they aren’t afraid to say so.

OMG! You have dimples!

People always ask you who you got your dimples from.

No, I don’t know where they came from, why does it matter?

People like to pinch your face.

Yes, even to this day. I’m 18 years old.

You can never look really mad because your dimples still show up and make you look completely non-threatening.

"Try not to smile" I fail every time.

People always think that your are younger than you actually are.

  1. It's is a blessing and a curse.
  2. You didn’t ask for your dimples but they’re yours, you own them.
  3. You wouldn’t trade your dimples for anything.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
