You’re an incredibly strong, intelligent, badass woman—but you’re still human. While it is tempting to think having all these qualities makes you bullet proof 24/7, that’s extremely silly. It just means you know how to do these 5 things:

1. Bounce back from crappy situations.

Life sucks sometimes, but what stands between the weak and the strong is how you deal with it. You’re definitely pretty badass if you can accept that shit happens, learn from it, and move on knowing that bigger and better things lie ahead.

2. Accept rejection.

You know not everyone will want to be with you or hire you. Whatever the case may be. You’re OK with that. You know life is game and that no matter what happens, you will end up where you’re meant to be.

3. Take action instead of just talking.

It is literally the worst when someone moans and groans about a situation but never does anything to change it. You wouldn’t even consider that. Ever. You mean what you say. If you set a goal, you know how reach it and you will. No matter how long it takes or amount of effort needed.

4. Get out of bad situations.

Crappy jobs, emotionally drained friendships and relationships—You don’t care what it is, if it messes with you in a negative way too long, you’re out the door fast without a second thought.

5. Accept your mistakes.

Sometimes people make mistakes or choose the wrong thing/person. It is admitting you're wrong and fixing it that make for a pretty badass women. Knowing you’re not perfect and that you in fact do not know everything (even though you think you do) is a tricky balance, but you got it down.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
