When I came to college, I knew there would be a few things I would have to learn along the way. Some of these things, I knew I'd have to learn, but some of the others really caught me off guard.
1. How to read a bus map.
One day, my suite mate and I decided to go to Walmart. We knew the catbus would take us there, but we didn't know that we would need to get on it going a certain direction so we wouldn't have to take the ENTIRE route before we got to Walmart. This was a long, smelly, overall unpleasant experience. Since then, both of us have taken the time to figure out how to read a bus map.
2. What Chipmunks look like.
This.
Not this.
Unfortunately, they do not paint the squirrels here to look like tigers, as I first believed.
3. What it's like to live in a place with hills.
Where I live, its flat. Where I go to school, it is not. Who needs the gym when every class you go to is uphill both ways?
4. How to do my own laundry.
Yes, I am that spoiled kid that didn't do much laundry until I came to school.
5. How to write an article in less than 10 minutes.
Unfortunately, my editor did not want me to submit my biology lab report as my article for the week, so here we are.
