1. “You shouldn’t care if people see you cry, all right? Especially you.”
“Why?”
“Because I think you look really beautiful when you cry.”
It’s okay to not be okay. One more time for the people in the back: IT’S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY. Lydia Martin is known for being strong, emotionally, throughout everything she is put through. From failed relationships, to the loss of friends, to being hurt physically; so when she finally breaks down, it’s important for someone to let her know it’s okay - and of course - that person had to be Stiles, the only person who really knows her.
2. “Don’t frown, someone could be falling in love with your smile.”
Everyone needs a friend like Allison Argent in their life to give them a reason to smile, always.
3. “Sweetheart, let me tell you something no teenager ever believes, but I guarantee you is the absolute truth. You fall in love more than once. It will happen again. It will be just as amazing and extraordinary as the first time and maybe just as painful. But it'll happen again. I promise. But until then, be your own anchor.”
It’s crazy how moms are always right, but it’s even more crazy how TV moms fall into that category, too. Never rely on someone else for your own happiness, and never think you aren’t strong enough to keep yourself grounded.
4. “Remember what it feels like. All of those times in school when you see him standing down the hall, and you cannot breathe until you're with him. Or those times in class when you - you can't stop looking at the clock because you know that he's standing right out there waiting for you. Don't you remember what that's like?”
Allison is full of heart, and isn't afraid to show it. She is such a sincere and bright character, and everyone needs her kind of youthfulness in their daily lives.
5. “You probably don't remember me… I sit behind you in Biology. Anyway, I always thought we just had this kind of connection. Unspoken, of course. Maybe it'd be kind of cool to get to know each other a little better.”
Everyone needs confidence like Stiles has. Even after he gets rejected by the girl he’s liked since the 3rd grade, he doesn't give up. Of course, things are a little more complicated at Beacon Hills, with supernatural tendencies, but if Stiles can hang onto the little things they share for five seasons, so can you.
