Whether you're sitting in your 3 hour lecture, or behind a desk at work, sometimes you would rather do anything other than the task at hand. Lucky for you, I have forfeited completing my homework and taking notes in class so that I can give you all a list of tasks that will keep you busy in a sly manner. Here are my top five favorite "tasks" to keep you "engaged" at work and in class.
1. Become better at typing through these typing tests.
Before you know it you'll have a broken keyboard and sprained wrists after spending hours frantically trying to top your words per minute, while your professor thinks you don't know she posts the Power Points on Canvas.
2. Bring back Buzzfeed quizzes.
Can we just be honest for a second and admit that these quizzes have told us more about ourselves than any amount of self discovery and therapy could? Somehow finding out I would be Pocahontas, and should eat tacos tonight has got me at my desk like...
3. Try turning on your subtitles on YouTube and stop checking the clock?
Or maybe you aren't the type who likes to challenge your typing abilities, or take tests to find out what kind of dog you should have in the future, and I'm not mad at you for it.
