5 Books to Read Before the End of Summer
David Mitchell Uncensored

As summer winds down, it’s the time to catch up on summer reading before school starts up again!

  1. The Versions of Us: This book explores how a decision made in a single moment can forever alter the course of one’s life. It follows three different timelines of the events that would have transpired based if each scenario played out.
  2. Shrill: Lindy West writes about her experiences as an overweight movie. It’s hilariously relatable and contains great instances of calling out society and the media on unfair standards.
  3. The Last Lecture: A book about following through on your most outrageous dreams, this book follows Randy Pausch’s quest to fulfill his childhood dreams after he learned he had terminal cancer.
  4. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: The new play meant to be the eighth installment in the Harry Potter series. Read this, even if it is only because everyone will be talking about it.
  5. Everything I Never Told You: A gripping story of a family who finds their oldest daughter drowned in a lake. It goes into minds of various characters, explores the past and present, and makes you think about your own life while trying to find out the rest of the story.

Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
