We all have days where we feel a little down, and it shows when we present ourselves. Sometimes, no matter how mentally strong we think we are, the slightest little sayings or things affect us. This can also result in low self-esteem and that's perfectly OK; everyone feels down once in a while. Here are a few steps that will help boost your self-confidence.
1. Hygiene.
This might seem like an obvious, but it's amazing how many wonders a simple shower and shave can do. It makes you feel perfectly clean and gives you the confidence to take on any task that day.
2. Be kind and generous.
Very corny, but helping others makes you feel better about yourself. You act in accordance and you start to feel good about yourself and you start to believe that you are a good person.
3. Stand tall.
You don't have to be tall by birth to be self-confident. Have a good posture and take a deep breath! When you have good posture it makes you feel insubordinate and that you can take on any task. It's like asserting dominance in a way.
4. Be positive.
How you think about yourself and others on the inside showcases on the outside. If someone is really pretty on the outside and acts like a "bitch" toward everyone else it shows on the outside. While another individual who doesn't look so attractive on the outside, but is nice toward everyone else it shows on the outside; those are the people that gravitate others towards them and they are the people who you want to be around.
5. Know yourself.
Try to talk about yourself for five minutes. Most of us find it really hard, even the most successful people feel the same way. For example; In a conference many big name CEOs had to talk about themselves for some amount of time, but all of them failed. All they managed to do was ramble on a few sentences. I'm not saying they don't know themselves, but it's how you talk about yourself. If you don't know who you are no one else will. Start writing in a journal and write in it every day or two, and read it over. Writing down emotions and feelings unknowingly shape you as a person.
