If you were ever a theater nerd in high school then you know exactly what I'm about to discuss. Graduating and leaving all your lil' theater kids behind is super hard, but getting through the 5 stages of theater graduation grief is even harder.
Stage 1: Denial
No, it's fine: I'm not actually graduating and leaving all these people behind. No way. I'll just come back next year and audition for the musicals.
Stage 2: Anger
I should have done more theater in high school. I missed my chance and I hate myself and everything else.
Stage 3: Bargaining
Maybe if I go back and audition they'll let me do it. I mean, I haven't been graduated for that long, right? They'll have to let me do it.
Stage 4: Depression
I will never be in another high school production again. I will never be in any production again. Life has no meaning without theater.
Stage 5: Acceptance
The ones we left behind are so talented! They're making memories of their own now! We paved the way for that. Love on them. They're family and now it's their turn to shine on stage.
