So you want to write an article for Odyssey or any other
r news site that you work for and it is about two hours to an hour to the deadline. You would have started the article earlier in the week, but other things and situations got in the way such as graduation parties, work, and summer activities with friends. You open the website, sign into your account, and open up a page to start a new article. You set your hands on the keyboard and....nothing. You can't think of an article to save your life. Like many other situations in life, there are a set of stages that you go through when trying to figure out what to write for that weekly article that you have to get in. Whether it be denial or procrastination, here are five stages of not knowing what to write.
1. Blank Stares

2. Anger
This is where that "bang head here" sign would come in handy. As the deadline approaches and you can't think of anything, you start to get angry at yourself for not starting earlier and not being able to think of anything.
3. Procrastination
As you begin to realize that it might be a little bit useless at this point to meet the deadline, you begin to take to the internet for a bit of comfort. This time might be time spent on watching videos, scrolling through forums, or anything that doesn't have to do with your article.
4. Panic
As the deadline draws closer, panic starts to set in as you realize you are screwed. You might not make it to a deadline on time or even at all.
5. You Write an Article about Not knowing what to write about
Yes, I was one of those people who did not know what to write about. So I decided to write about this topic, but hey at least I got something in!
