You have tried not to think about it, but the time has finally come. You just finished the series finale of the show you have dedicated so much time and energy to. You feel empty inside, and you don't know what to do now that it's all over. You have gone through so much with the characters, and you can't possibly imagine life without them.
You will shortly fall into these 5 stages of grief:
Denial
You avoid watching the last episode. You don't want to talk to anyone about the fact that it is over.
Anger
You are angry at everyone and everything. You are so mad at the world. You vow to never get attached to another show so you won't have to feel this pain again.
Bargaining
This is the stage when you begin to sign all the online petitions for one more season or a reunion episode.
Depression
You spend the next couple days (or weeks) wrapped up in a blanket still on the verge of tears because it's over.
Acceptance
You have accepted that life does go on without your favorite show. But you are thankful that Netflix is there to offer you more shows with new characters that you will eventually get too attached to.
Congratulations, you have made it through the five stages of grief. But remember this will more than likely happen again. That is the risk we take when we care and love something so much.
