Creamy or crunchy, what's your preference? From our childhood to adulthood, there has been one food (or spread, depending on how you prefer it) that has been with us through it all. It started from simple PB&J's and has developed into a daily protein snack that can go with just about anything. Yes, that's right. I am talking about Peanut Butter. Whether you're a Jif, Skippy's, or Peter Pan fan, peanut butter has been a timeless treat for us all for the 20 or so years we have been alive. Unless you're allergic and in that case I am so sorry. I have written articles before about my addictions to candy, caffeine, and corgis, however, no addiction can beat my addiction to peanut butter. If you try to tell me that peanut butter does not go with just about everything then we just simply cannot be friends. Here are 5 signs that you are creepily addicted to peanut butter like yours truly.
1. You shake your head in disgust when people try to tell you that Nutella or Almond Butter is better than Peanut Butter.
These are just substitutes of Peanut Butter and no, they do not compare in the slightest. There is only one kind of "nut" butter and we all know the best is with Peanuts.
2. You don't know how to eat apples or celery or bananas or bread without Peanut Butter.
At this point, you've become so used to eating these healthy foods with your choice of Peanut Butter that you just can't imagine having to do so without it.
3. You are determined that Peanut Butter is in fact good for you.
Even though it is high in fat, it's loaded with protein and just tastes oh so good. Everything is healthy in moderation, right?
4. You make sure your kitchen has own personal Peanut Butter jar at all times.
A true addict always has a supply of their addiction near them. Because if not, you freak out and wonder when you'll be able to get your next spoonful. Oh, and everyone knows that jar is YOUR jar.
5. You always like food items just a little bit more when there's some form of peanut butter in it.
Ever noticed that your favorite sweets are Reece's, Peanut M&Ms, or Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream? Yeah...notice the trend here people.
