5 Shows You Must Binge This Break

Now that the holidays are over, for the next four weeks you can expect to find me curled up under my electric blanket, hot chocolate in hand and with my beats plugged into my laptop. Of course, I will be watching Netflix. I call myself an avid Netflix watcher. If you haven't binge-watched a TV show on Netflix yet -- who are you? Do you live underwater? If for some reason you do, don't worry, because as a self-proclaimed expert I will feed you the top five television shows that you should binge watch this winter break.

1. Friends

Of course I start off the list with the greatest show of all time. (Don't even try to argue with me). With 10 seasons comprising of 236 episodes, this will take advanced binge watching, but with a great cast and even better jokes, this show with make you laugh, cry and seriously make you dream about life with your friends after college.

2. American Horror Story

Don't let the title scare you away, its more of an incredibly intriguing show rather than horrifying. Currently, on Netflix there are four different seasons to choose from: "Murder House," "Asylum," "Coven" and "Freak Show." They each have their own time periods, characters and horror elements all using relatively the same cast. Personally, my favorite is "Freak Show," which is about a circus of "freaks," but if you think you'd be more into the horror aspect definitely start with the first two.

3. Freaks and Geeks

This show only lasted one season, which means everyone should have no trouble binging it. Two distinct group of high school students in the 1980's are known as either "freaks" (most known today as "stoners") or geeks. This show is iconic. I honestly wish it had lasted more than one year just so I could see more of young James Franco. *heart eyes*

4. How to Get Away With Murder

This show premiered just last year, but I honestly think it is one of televisions' bests. It has the most diverse cast on this list and the most shocking moments. (Like actual, jaw-dropping moments). This show is so good it sometimes makes me want to become a law student. But then I remember all the insane shit these students go through, and I snap back to reality.

5. Lost

As my current binge victim and the last show on the list, this is a lifetime must! This iconic show about plane crash survivors is the most confusing but exciting show I've ever seen. I love the thrill that comes from learning about the castaway's lives while they're trying to adapt to life on the supernatural beach. Each episode ends with multiple questions running through your mind about what you just watched, which makes binging it that easy; you never want to stop!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
