Are you hoping to be productive over spring break? Looking forward to spending time with friends? Do you want to catch up with the family? Well, too bad. We all know you’re one click away from opening Netflix and turning into a lazy potato with no hope of productivity in sight. It’s alright. We all do it. Midterms are over and you can now pretend you have no responsibilities. However, no fear, if you’re going to be a burrito of laziness over spring break then you might as well do it watching quality entertainment.
1. Bob’s Burgers
If you’re looking for mindless humor to entertainment yourself with, then "Bob’s Burgers" is the show to do it with. About a burger-owning restaurant family, the cartoon is both hilarious and just weird enough that you can’t help but come back episode after episode.
2. Scandal
If it’s drama you’re craving, then look no further than "Scandal." It certainly lives up to its namesake. Each episode is filled with all the conflict you could ever ask for. However, once you start you can’t stop and with four seasons you might not see outside your room for days. Warning! you might be preaching to anyone who will listen about why Jake is way better for Olivia than Fitz.
3. Jessica Jones
When "Jessica Jones" was released on Netflix, it wasn’t uncommon for at least one of your friends to not be heard from for a few days. This show took the world by storm. Taking place in the Marvel universe, Jessica Jones is the alcoholic, angry and badass superheroine we didn’t even know we needed. Bonus: the show has tackled rape culture stigmas head on and won.
4. That 70's Show
A hilarious classic, "That 70’s Show" is beloved by many. Following a group of teens in the late 70’s, it’s impossible not to relate to at least one of the main characters. The show also addresses social issues in the 70s such as sexism, teenage drug use and mistrust of the American government. Also, a young Mila Kunis slaying it as Jackie is reason enough.
5. Bates Motel
If you’re a fan of the cult classic movie, "Psycho," then this is the show for you. Following a teenage Norman Bates and his mother, Norma, "Bates Motel" gives a look back into the life of the big screen’s most notorious serial killer. Dark, and at times disturbing, this show will have you guessing from start to finish.
