Ah, fall. The season of apples, pumpkins, and football. It's also when a lot of shows return to television. If you haven't seen any of the shows listed below, start up that Netflix binge before they start up again! Here are some of the shows I'm most excited to watch this season and hope you are too.
1. American Horror Story -- returns Wednesday, September 14 at 10:00 p.m. on FX
Every season of AHS is different, yet they all connect somehow. It'll be interesting to see how the sixth season compares to the others and how the storylines work together.
2. The Voice -- returns Monday, September 19 at 8:00 p.m.on NBC
Can you believe The Voice is already on its 11th season!? Of course, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are returning. First-timers Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys will join as coaches, making this the first season of The Voice with two female coaches. This is a must-watch not only to see some incredible talent, but also to see what outfits Miley will wear.
3. Scream Queens -- returns Tuesday, September 20 at 9:00 p.m. on Fox
While the first season was a bit cheesy at times with the awkward combination of comedy and horror, it did have its perks. By far the best aspect of this show is the unique dialogue which viewers can expect more of if the first few seconds of the sneak peek above are anything to go by. Hopefully the writers have found a way to craft the two genres together more seamlessly while keeping things fun and surprising with new cast members John Stamos and Taylor Lautner.
4. How To Get Away With Murder -- returns Thursday, September 22 at 10:00 p.m. on ABC
How can you not love this show? There's also something going on and just when you think you know all the answers Shonda Rhimes throws yet another plot twist at you. But this is also why I hate this show because it's probably not healthy to have a heart attack every Thursday night at 10:57 p.m.
5. Criminal Minds -- returns Wednesday, September 28 at 9:00 p.m. on CBS
Criminal Minds is still going after all the conflict and re-casting this season has already brought. Shemar Moore who played Derek Morgan is gone, but has been replaced by CSI: Miami actor Adam Rodriguez. Thomas Gibson who played Aaron Hotchner was fired after an altercation with one of the show's writers, so fans will have to wait and see if his character gets replaced or if someone else on the BAU team will have to step up in his place.
