WAIT!
Before you click away, this is not an article about mushy gushy love or anything with any type of #RelationshipGoals attached. This is about the 5 relationships that pretty much everyone can relate to, so trust me, it is worth your time.
1. Relationship with your BFF
It could be that you met them in diapers, or in your last semester of school, but time never is a measure of how well you know someone, right? The relationship you have with your BFF is one that only they understand. The real stories come out, the screenshots from the latest twitter fight or breakup fill your iMessage, the prank calls to the ex you both hate, because let's face it, you both have to hate him. Your BFF is your ride or die & you could go years without talking and make it seem like it had only been minutes.
2. Relationships with your Family
We can all agree absolutely no family is perfect. But the relationships made here are usually a lot stronger, due to the fact that you're related by blood. Whether you're the oldest, the middle child, or youngest, you celebrate, fight, prank, or encourage your siblings. It's what you do. Your mom is your best friend, and your dad is there to talk you through a flat tire. Blood is thicker than water and it shows with the relationships made here.
3. Relationships with your Co-workers
You spend pretty much every day of your life with these people: all the sweat, tears, horrible customers, and more make you closer than you realize. You may think they are the funniest people because let's face it, nothing exciting happens where you work. Sometimes, it is a true bonding moment when it is you vs. the boss, and they have your back. Or you're the person who counts down the seconds until your next break, or when you are done closing. Then you literally never talk to them ever again, or at least until the next shift...
4. Relationships with your Friends
You have certain friends that drive you crazy, kill you with kindness, and make your abs hurt from laughing, but you need them all to bring balance, and, of course, the typical #SquadGoals. Somewhat like the BFF relationship where you've been there through their ups and downs. Maybe they have stepped up when you needed a wingman, or they were there first in the group chat when you needed them most. You may get super frustrated one minute and super happy the next, and it is totally normal because *cue theme song* "I'll be there for youuuu"
5. Relationships with Enemies
Keep your friends close but your enemies closer, am I right? For those who have wronged you, or just hated your existence for no good reason, you technically still have a relationship with them. Whether you stalk them on Instagram, or you're Facebook friends to watch where they end up in life, your strings are still somewhat attached, just from afar. They could have been really good friends in one part of your life, but surely something went down and now you're showing them how much better your life is without them.
With all these relationships, comes responsibility and work. You do not just make friends by thinking about it or following them on Twitter. Make sure you reach out to someone, or rekindle a friendship from your past. You will not regret it and maybe someone will do so in return! Everyone deserves love, and always remember, "you are too full of life to be half loved."
