1. Your parents have already gone through punishing your siblings so they get tired when it comes to you.

Let’s be honest here, there are some things that you should get in trouble for, but you don’t. You may even do something your siblings got in such trouble for, but when it comes to your parents yelling at you, you're just let off with a warning. They’re just too tired to keep yelling about the same thing.

2. You’re kind of spoiled because you’re the last one and they aren't exactly ready to let go... And in my case you're the only girl.

You’re allowed to go out with friends, have sleepovers, and basically get whatever you ask for. Sometimes you may be questioned a little more because your parents don't want to see you leave the nest so soon. Even though your parents let you go whatever and do whatever there are some limitations and they do want to know who you’ll be with and where it is you’re going because they care and once again you are the youngest.

3. You get great advice from your siblings because they’ve gone through everything before you have.

Whether it's a fight with your friends or needing advice about a boy your siblings are always there if you need them. Your siblings are there to help you figure out what to say to someone who’s been talking about you or to help you get out of a class. They tell you what they did when they went through what you’re going through and you learn from them.

4. Being the only girl you get all new things because who would want you to wear hand-me-downs from your brothers?

Your toys, bed themes, and clothes are all knew because a girl usually doesn't play or wear things that her brothers would. You never had to have the experience where your shirt was way too long because your brother is taller than you or have a school picture where your brother is wearing the same shirt in his from a few years back because you get brand new clothes with sparkles and all. Also your toys aren't GI Joes or Pokemon because you get to have Barbie and Polly Pockets, but sometimes it is nice to have a GI Joe to go with your Barbie.

5. You have tons of protection from not only your parents, but your older siblings as well.

It doesn't matter if it is something happening on social media, at school, or in the public. Your family is always there to protect you because they’re our family and that’s what they do. Your siblings always backed you up and still do. Your parents and siblings will always watch over you to make sure you’re doing okay. In anything you do you will always have them behind you.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
