5 Reasons You Should Throw An Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
Kitschy Christmas Sweaters

Tis the season to be merry or if you're a student like me, tis the season of finals! However, I refuse to let the dreaded finals week dampen my holiday spirit, making it necessary to host or attend an ugly Christmas sweater party. Here are a few reasons as to why having an ugly Christmas sweater party is the move.

1. The one time it's appropriate to be ugly.

With everyone always trying to look cute, this is your chance to show up in some comfy clothes and have a good time with all your friends as it becomes a contest of who has the worst outfit with the most Christmas spirit. For once it’s about dressing down…not up. Don’t be afraid to really get creative with it, whether you purchase a sweater from Goodwill, or get artsy and decorate one yourself! the options are endless! It's time to show how extra you can be!

2. Give Your Friends a Light at the End of the Tunnel for this Upcoming Finals Season.

Give yourself and your friends something to look forward to, something that makes that extra effort to push through worth it. Always having something to look forward to is always a great motivator! Finals week always has the ability to make everyone overly stressed. Take the edge off and give yourself and your friends something to look forward to— something that makes that extra effort to push through worth it. While you spend all week writing essays or studying endless notes, at least you can finish off strong since having something to look forward to is a great motivator.

3. Another Season 'Tis for Drinking.

Yet another holiday that can be centered around drinking, America’s favorite past time. With December comes holiday flavors like peppermint, eggnog, and more, so get creative with drinks and do yourself a favor and please just put down the skol. ****Please drink responsibly****

4. You Get to See All of Your Friends in One Place Before the Semester Closes.

With everyone's hectic schedule, what better way to make sure you see everyone before the semester ends just in case of graduation or if you'll find it hard to go a month without seeing your faves until the spring semester. Having a can't miss event will almost guarantee they'll come because who doesn't love a party?!

5. At the End of it All, You’re Left with a Comfortable Sweater to Wear Again and Again

I'm all for the comfy clothes, so if your sweater is as ugly as it gets, add it to your collection of comfy stay at home clothes wardrobe. If you're like me, and the thought of purchasing something ugly gives you heart palpitations, look for something that is so ugly that it becomes cute for you to wear all season long! You can't really go wrong with a sweater.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
