New Years Eve is one of those holidays you want to spend with people you really care about. To me, my high school friends are still my go-to people when it comes to having a good time. Since we were young we have always made it a thing to spend New Years Eve all together in one place. It is always guaranteed that we will have an amazing night and these are a few reasons why.
1) One Huge Sleepover
NYE is the one night we all decide to bite the bullet and sleep on several couches, air mattresses, and floors. There is something fun about all having one huge sleepover and waking up the next morning with everyone.
2) Old Friends Know You Best
Partying with high school friends will always be a familiar thing that most people find comforting. There's no pressure to go out to a huge event and meet new people when you keep it comfy on NYE with your best friends.
3) Everyone Gets Together
It's nice to have a holiday where everyone chooses to be in one place altogether for once. In college, it gets hard to keep track of all your high school friends. Seeing everyone and catching up all being in one place is always something to look forward to.
4) Dressing Up
Most people dress up on New Years to go to a club or some extravagant event. Even know we always have some sort of house party, we still all get dressed up for New Years. It's that one night of the year we are all rummaging around for a new outfit to wear and there's something about getting all dressed up together.
5) Roadtrip
Everyone loves a roadtrip with their best friends. While we keep the homey feeling of a house party on NYE, we have recently started a tradition of driving elsewhere and getting out of town on New Years Eve. Pre-making food, packing into cars, and driving a few hours with all your best friends will never get old.
