5 Reasons Why Brunch Is The Best Meal
Brunch Club

Some say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I disagree. Brunch is the new breakfast. Why have one meal, when you can put breakfast and lunch together and have the two at the same time? Brunch is love. Brunch is life. Sitting down to a nice, big 'ol meal in the mid-morning, having a drink, and relaxing with friends is absolutely the best way to pass the time and fill our stomachs, and here are some reasons why:

1. Brunch gives you an excuse to sleep in.

Knowing that you can have two meals at once when you wake up, sleeping in until a later hour and waking up to have a leisurely brunch at 9, 10, or 11 AM (or maybe even the afternoon!) just feels like the right thing to do.

2. There are endless food possibilities.

It isn't quite breakfast, and it isn't quite lunch either. You get the best of both worlds with brunch. Literally any breakfast or lunch food is up for grabs at this point, and it is all delicious.

3. Dessert. Always.

My favorite part about brunch is that it usually doesn't feel too early too to eat sweets, so I always ask for the extra chocolate drizzle on my pancakes. And I never hold myself back from ordering the cinnamon roll ice cream sandwich at my favorite diner in downtown to finish off my meal.

4. There is usually alcohol.

Self explanatory. But keep them coming, please.

5. Brunch is just more fun.

Why say breakfast and lunch...when you could just say brunch? Why eat breakfast and lunch...when you can just eat brunch? In my opinion, there is no better, more fun, or more fulfilling meal than brunch. Happy eating!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
