5 Reasons To Go Out Of Town For Spring Break
Patch

You should travel out of town for spring break. For those of you that went out of town for this year's spring break, you know what I am talking about! If you did not go out of town, it's OK, the world isn't over and you still have a chance next year to travel.

1. See something new.

If they are not already living by the beach, spring breakers tend to go to a place with some sort of an ocean or a lake. Odds are that you don't go to the beach during the fall or winter season because it just doesn't make sense, unless you are an avid surfer. So spring break is when you can finally show your body again and get it right for summer. You see a different landscape, and there is just something about the ocean that soothes your nerves and has a sense of tranquility.

2. Meet new people who don't go to your school.

It's great to know everyone in your school if you're that popular. However, there is a bigger world out there and it's always great to meet new people and add them to your networking list. You never know if the next person you met during spring break could one day offer you the job of your dreams or be the next recruiter for a company that you're interested in. You may end up in another school not in your state if you choose to pursue a master's degree or even a Ph.D. Also during spring break, celebrities tend to perform as a mini-concert. You may be able to interact with your favorite singer during spring break.

3. Be able to let loose where people don't know you.

All of us are human beings, we crave play as much as we have to work. So what if you are the president of an organization on you campus. You also need a break to relax and have fun. Can't go out and have fun in your area? Well, that's why you go on spring break to a new location where you won't be judged for who you are and what you do. People won't know you and they really won't care if you danced your legs off the night before.

4. Chance to forget about all of the work and homework you have next week.

You won't take your homework with you if you are going to a popular spring break location. You just want to forget about all of the projects that you have due. Go somewhere far, far away, and forget about work and homework for a moment and enjoy the company. Trust me, you need the break. Have fun, go out, party, and let it out of your system, so when you come back to school you can get ready to work again.

5. Strengthen the bond between you and your friends during spring break.

It is almost unheard of going by yourself to a popular spring break location. You will have at least one other friend with you that you can count on having your back no matter what. You know that no matter what happens, they will carry you on their back to make sure that you are not asleep on the pavement. Some people would say that they are your "ride or die" people. Spring break is a time to strengthen that bond with your friend(s) and have a blast.

So there you have it, five compelling reasons as to why you should travel out of town for spring break. You should do it at least once to experience the reasons listed above. Depending on where you are geographically, there is always a spring break location for you. You can always search online for the most popular spring break spots and figure it out from there. Everyone deserves a break so next spring break go out of town and enjoy yourself!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
