If you go to Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, Calif., and you do not love country, you will still have a great time. Seriously! I know that sounds crazy and you're probably wondering how that's possible, but trust me on this -- it's a great weekend for many different reasons:
1. Country music is feel good music.
Just because you do not know every word to every song like a lot of the people around you that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the sound of the music! Country music talks about heartbreak and drinking beer: two things almost all people have experienced.
2. Country music makes you want to dance.
In case you haven’t been to Indio, it's basically a completely wide open space with one main stage which is called the Mane Stage (like a horse’s mane! Get it? I thought that was clever). That leaves a lot of room for crazy dancing and if you go with a group of great girlfriends you can all dance together and I can guarantee people will walk by and dance with you!
3. The pictures you take are amazing!
I took tons of pictures with my friends that ended up coming out so well! My best friend brought her GoPro, and those pictures were even better! Whether you’re taking pictures of the sunset, the singers, or just your friends you will have pictures of the amazing memories to look back on (all the pictures in this post are mine).
4. There is so much food!
Even if you are a picky eater there is so much to eat! Whether you love burgers, ribs, salads, fries, fruit, donuts, ice cream or smoothies you can find something that you will love to chow down on!
5. The memories with great friends
Stagecoach is a three-day music festival which is long and tiring. Each day holds amazing singers, bands and a ton of fun which in the end is exhausting, but well worth it! I can guarantee that you will be posting Instagram pictures long after you leave Indio. Oh, and trust me, there is such thing as Stagecoach withdrawals!
If you go in 2016, I hope you have an amazing time!
