5 Reasons Why Some People Will Never Succeed

Success is a word that most people try to obtain in life. However, sometimes the reason for their pursuit to succeed does not hold any value. I came to the conclusion that, although people do have good intentions, it does not mean that their reason to strive for success was right. We, as humans, rely too much on what the world around us thinks about ourselves rather than what we think of our own selves. Some people strive for success to receive validation from the people around them instead of just the satisfaction of knowing that they did something for themselves.

1. They have no idea who they really are.

Every single day, whether we acknowledge it or not, we mirror what the people around us do. Society around us has so much power over us at times and we can be very naïve to it. It is not just the people around us, but it is also the society that we live in with social media that propels us to want to be something that we are not. If we do not have the ability to control our own thoughts and think of ourselves then we will never know how success truly feels on our own.

2. They do not have the ability to take action.

It is easy to say that you are going to do something, but having the ability to pursue toward that and take action is another ball game. This statement goes with the saying, “Actions speak louder than words.” I think the reason that they do not move forward is because the journey may be too difficult and they do not have the courage to pursue what they wanted. Those types of people need to stop dreaming and, instead, they need to muster up the ability to take action.

3. They are too pessimistic.

A reason why people will never succeed is because they believe that they are unable to. Once that thought enters the human brain doubt begins to spread and, eventually, they truly believe that they are unable to do whatever they had intended to in the beginning. Having doubt and being pessimistic about the future is a lethal weapon to anyone who truly wants to succeed. When a person begins to believe the thoughts that they have filtered through their heads then it will eventually decrease how much effort they are willing to put towards their goal. If anyone wants to succeed they need to have a positive attitude and they need to diffuse the negative energy surrounding them.

4. They have false images surrounding their thoughts.

People have the tendency to believe that having a nice car or a beautiful home is what it means to be successful. This point is also in reference to point one when I state how people do not know themselves. When people see these external images they begin to gravitate toward them. They may not know if those people are happy with their luxurious cars and glamorous lifestyle because all they want is that world. With this, you are already planting a seed in your head that, if you do not have those items, you will not be successful. This cluster that is filling their heads with false images of an amazing life is actually what hinders people towards success because the only thing that they are influenced by is what is surrounding them.

5. They are good at making excuses.

The people who always have an excuse up their sleeve are always going to find a reason why they should not do something. These types of people lack the ability to try something new and broaden their horizons. One of the most important things in life is to learn and if we continue to make excuses for ourselves we will never be better than we were tomorrow. If you are starting to create excuses within your life it might be a good idea to remind yourself why you strived for your goal in the beginning. An excuse is not going to get a person anywhere, but taking a step in the right direction is a start.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
