First semester is aways an adjustment. It takes time to get into the routine of the school year and get comfortable with your schedule. Second semester, on the other hand, is full of warm weather, spring break, and tons of fun. Here are 5 reasons that second semester is the best semester of all!

1. Spring break (Obviously)

Spring break can be considered the epitome of the college experience. One week of warm sunny weather and fun fruity drink makes for the perfect vacation.

2. You get a fresh start

Wether you weren't very fond of your first semester teachers, or your grades weren't exactly honor roll status, you get a brand new start during the second semester.

3. Syllabus week; round two

The happiest week of the year is back for a second round!

4. Better schedule

Now that you know the ropes, you've perfected your schedule. You know the exact routine that works best for you, and that 8 am labs are not your friend.

5. You and your roomies are closer

Now you and your roommates are officially best friemds after surviving a whole semester together. Nothing can break the bond you've shared over late night Netflix binges and glasses on glasses of wine.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
