If you're like me then you like the little things that go "bump" in the night. You get a thrill watching horror movies and you think that haunted houses aren't even that scary, but comical. You're a die hard horror enthusiast. You even read (if you like to read) murder mysteries and you love Halloween to no end. You're even engrossed in the sociological and psychological problems inside murderer's heads like Jefferey Dahmer or Ed Gein. And since Halloween is coming up in a few weeks here are some reasons why I'm obsessed with scary and spooky situations.
1. You Know It's Not Real
Sure it may seem real or even feel real, but you know deep down that it isn't and it doesn't faze you. Yes you may still get scared when there is a jump scare or something creepy happens, but you know in an hour or so that it'll be all over and you'll be back to normal soon.
2. It's A Fun Thrill
You can go and watch scary movie after scary movie and keep watching without a problem. You get excited when you finally figure out who the "bad" guy is or when the scary ending is revealed. You get a thrill from discovering the ending just as a person who loves roller coasters gets a thrill from riding them.
3. You Think It's Interesting
You wouldn't watch ghost documentaries or read books about murder mysteries or even watch scary movies if you didn't think it was interesting. You want to see how things unravel, you like the mystery that entails and you love that it keeps you guessing till the very last moment.
4. You Enjoy The Feeling
This may sound odd, but you do enjoy being scared. Like mentioned before it's a thrill that you just can't get enough of. You like the suspense waiting for the killer to pop out of the dark or the monster to reach for the innocent kids. It's fun to try new things and to see if this new movie will scare you enough or if it'll just be cheesy.
5. You Love The Atmosphere
Everyone is on edge the entire movie, the entire trip through the haunted house, and even on edge walking from house to house on Halloween (don't lie, we all still trick or treat). Everyone is scared and it's interesting and fun to see what makes your friends scared. It's also hilarious watching them freak out over the smallest little spider or the giant, fake hand that's sticking out of the candy bowl.
Don't be afraid to show your scary side once in awhile!
