Sad? Mad? In a mood? Going through a breakup? Having a bad day? Stressed to the max? I have your solution. Call up your best friend, and make sure an auxiliary cord is available.

A jam session with your best friend, listening to your favorite music, driving who knows where or dancing like crazy wherever you choose is you're the solution and here is five reasons why I am not wrong.

1. You will forget about all of your problems, guaranteed.

Of course, you are going to vent about what is wrong. Of course, you will talk about it for a little bit to get stuff off of your mind. But I promise you, as soon as 'guaranteed' comes on... The boy who broke your heart is not existent for about 4 minutes because you are too busy singing/screaming "D, to the E, to the L I C I O U S."

2. Who doesn't love listening to their favorite music?

We all have our favorite songs that when they are played, we just get lost in the music. Let alone having your best friend alongside you (they most likely have the same favorite songs), I promise you that all your problems will seem little to none.

3. You'll feel as free as a bird.

No matter what time of day it, no matter where you are driving or where you are dancing, with the windows down or the freedom of space, the comfort of your sidekick and music, you will feel the weight lifted off of your shoulders. All of your problems, things you are stressed about will be able to escape because you are having a good time.

4. You won't be judged because your best friend is dancing just as bad as you are.

Your best friend knows you better than anyone, they are there to make you feel better. But not only that, they are there to dance and sing like an idiot along with you. They are your best friend because they make you feel better 100% of the time. So twerk it out as ridiculous as you want, because they are most likely doing it with you.

But most importantly...

5. You will smile.

When anyone smiles, they automatically feel better. Being with your person, jamming out and laughing to some great tunes will no doubt make you feel better. You deserve to smile, so let yourself smile.

However long it takes for you to lose your voice, gain a six pack from laughing so hard or feel like you just did a P90X workout from dancing so much is up to you. But I promise this is a solution for all of your problems.

Get a playlist, get your best friend.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
