I seriously don't think I would have made it this far without you. There a million reasons why I'm thankful for you, but I didn't want to keep everyone here forever, so I narrowed it down to five that encompass my gratefulness (is that even a word? I should know this, we're going to be teachers).

1. The jam sessions.

All the way from freshman year, we would always be down to blast some SoMo, throwback Disney (yes, that was us blasting Nobody's Perfect at 1 a.m., judge us) and Justin Bieber (I know you're still judging). It was those late night "I'm not tired yet" nights where the music was too good and the memories were even better.

2. The late nights.

Remember that one time we all crammed in your tiny room pulled an all-nighter, because I had to write my English paper that was due the next morning? Good times. (Also the worst time in my life because I realized I cannot function on 3 hours of sleep.)

3. The words of encouragement.

Whether it's letting me know I'm gonna ace a test that I'm super nervous about, or just giving me the extra encouragement I need to go to class (ew), I know I can count on you to be that little voice in my head that gives me a push every now and then.

4. For all the laughter.

"Where?" "Is it velveeta Las Vegas?" and countless other time's we've just looked at each other and suddenly can't breathe from laughing, it always seems to come in right when I need it the most.

5. The love.

Even though we weren't roomies from the start, fate always knew we'd be the best of friends. I'm so thankful for all that you do for me, and all that you do for others. You are an amazing person and I am lucky to be able to yell across the room to annoy you.

BUT ALSO I'M FREAKING OUT BECAUSE WE ONLY HAVE ONE YEAR LEFT OF BEING ROOMIES AND WE CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT BECAUSE I'LL CRY.

Love,

your main bitch. :)

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
