First off, I'd like to say that my friends and I are the funniest people on this planet. I'm a bit biased though.
If we had a camera crew following us around, we would make the perfect reality show. We have humor, drama, stupidity, romance and drunken nights.
Here are those five reasons explained as to why mine and my friend’s lives would make the perfect reality show.
1. Humor
If you have ever met any of my friends, you would know that we are some of the most sarcastic, random, and awkward people you'd probably ever meet. Our humor has gotten us in trouble at times, but that never stops us. Our entire friendship is based off of horrible "knock knock" jokes and vines/YouTube videos that we've tried to recreate. Most of the things that have come out of our mouths could probably get us sent away. We have said some of the weirdest things that no one would believe unless they actually heard it for themselves.
2. Drama
I love my friends with everything in me and I would take a bullet for any of them, but there have been times where I wanted to run away and never come back. My group of friends is not perfect and we all know that. There have been many fights and many silent treatments given. One fight that stands out in my mind happened during our sophomore year. Two of my friends went at it during the middle of the night over something so stupid. Myself, and another one of my friends had to stay in there just in case it escalated. Thank God we have gotten over the stupidity that was that situation. There have been plenty of other situations where we needed mediation as well. We have had our share of drama that we wouldn't even need writers to add to it!
3. Stupidity
Between prank wars and throwing snowballs into open windows, we have done it all. During our freshmen year, we had four rooms of people participating in a prank war. One of those pranks involved putting the guy's downstairs couch in the laundry room. Another one included putting all of my friend’s belongings into the stairway. A public safety officer walked by and just laughed at us. Along with our humor, the things we have gotten ourselves into could be hard to believe unless you witnessed it firsthand. We've had friends jump out of windows from the second floor, mattress slide down hallways, and destroy a pod for April Fool's day. (A pod is one of the living arrangements on my campus). Though we have relaxed a little with the pranks, we can still get ourselves into stupid situations. We've gone for walks for one purpose: to throw rocks. Why? No idea, but we did it anyway.
4. Romance
My romantic life is non-existent. My friends, on the other hand, have been pretty lucky. They all have had their fair share of boyfriends and hookups. I've had plenty of crushes here, but most of them have liked my friends. But I'm not getting into that. That's a whole other topic for another day.
There has been plenty of drama that goes with these relationships and a lot of cheesy romantic shit. Perfect for reality T.V.
5. Drunken Nights
Now, I don't condone underage drinking, but five out of the seven girls in my group of friends are 21 so I'm going to talk about it. After a night of drinking, the next morning usually involves sitting around the table to discuss the night before. Though we might not seem like the drinking type, when we do, things can get a bit crazy. From chanting "Jesus take the wheel" as we leave a party or getting sent to an AA meeting because you got caught getting sick. At parties we stick with our group and don't let random guys hit on each other. I don't think anyone would expect us to be partyers but we can be if we try hard enough. Just give us a few shots and we're good to go!
Now, I know everyone thinks their friends should have their own T.V. show. I'd like to think my friends and I would have an awesome fan base. We have a little bit of everything in our group. We have athletes, nerds, N.A.R.P’s (non- athletic regular people) and a bunch of other characteristics that are relatable. I don't think it will happen anytime soon, but until then, we'll be waiting for that call from the E! Network or MTV.
