Jumping for joy as you read this article? Here's a list, as if you needed a list for why we're all excited.
1. Where else will you get all of your life advice from?
Looking back at a lot of my life decisions, I can't help but see a resemblance to "Gilmore Girls." Sure, maybe I've never thrown away my life for someone with a motorcycle, but I could always use an inspirational girl-powered pep talk from one of the Gilmore Girls when I feel down.
2. Your other TV shows have lacked serious wit.
Nothing else comes close to comparison when we're dealing with the serious wit found in just one episode of Gilmore Girls. I'd like to thank GG for my quick thinking--because who wouldn't want to be jaw-dropper?
3. Why watch the news when you can tune in for some classic entertainment with tons of pop culture, literary, and historic references?
The more you watch it, the more it makes sense. Now, after being in Georgia Tech for a few years I can actually relate to some references like Lorelei's horse being named Desdemona (From Othello...which, by the way, I hear GT Drama Tech is putting on soon!) I have actually taken to trying to figure out what all these references mean..I wonder if the GG knew these before the show.
4. You need someone to pretend to be at semi-fancy cocktail parties (or at theme parties!).
Don't deny that you've always wanted to be a GG at a cocktail party. Kiss the relatives, greet the strangers, and compliment the old people. It's almost enough to make you wanna join a frat.
5. Uhhmm, hello... WHAT HAPPENED TO RORY AND LOGAN?
Though some may be fine, complacent with, or even empowered by Rory's feminist "I-wanna-work-not-get-married" ethic, deep down, all of us have always wanted to marry a Logan. Or was it Jess?
Regardless of your stance, I'm sure everyone is just as excited as I am to watch the new "Gilmore Girls"!
