If you have a dog, you know that these five things are 100 percent true. You also know a dog is the best type of friend to have. My dog's name is Hope. She's the best dog ever! (I know, I'm biased. Everyone thinks they have the best dog ever). She is the biggest baby and most lovable dog I've ever met. These are only five of the best reasons out of many, many reasons why dogs make the best friends.
1. Dogs are the best listeners.
I often find myself having full blown conversations with my dog. Weird? Not at all. If you ever need to vent, they are right there listening, and the best part is they cannot criticize anything you are saying! You can keep going and going and they are content just to have you talking to them.
2. They are hands down the best cuddle buddies.
Sometimes they might be too good at cuddling when they are laying on top of your head, but that's OK. Whenever I want to lay around and do my favorite thing, which is absolutely nothing all day, I enjoy watching TV and cuddling with my "furever" friend.
3. They are always there to cheer you up.
I can say from experience that whenever I am upset about something, it is obvious my dog can sense it. She comes right over to me wagging her tail and ready to hammer me with kisses. If your dog can't cheer you right up, I am not really sure anything can.
4. You are never alone...ever.
Whether I am lying down, walking around my house, or using the bathroom, I am never alone, like ever. My dog is always right there trailing behind me or busting into rooms to see what I am doing. They do not know personal space, but that's okay. My dog is the only one who can get away with being around me 24/7 without me being bothered.
5. You have a "furever" friend.
Friends come and go, but dogs are friends for life. Unfortunately, you will not have them forever, but they will always, always be in your heart. No dog can replace another dog. They are all different, but they are all special.
I love my dog. She's my best friend. If you ever need someone to vent to, a cuddle buddy or someone to hang out with your dog is always there. Not to mention, they are furry and adorable compared to humans! You always have someone there to greet you at the door when you come home. If you're anything like me, you say goodbye to your dog every time you leave and they're the first one you acknowledge when you come back. A dog might just be a dog to some people, but to me, my dog is my family and best friend.
