5 Reasons Your Dog Is Your True Love
Nicole Angelo

As I lay here on this cold morning cuddling my five pound puppy, I realize that our dogs are the real loves of our lives. They are always there when you need them and will forever be loyal to you. I am an animal lover and activist. When I first got my little joy of life I could hardly wait to take her home and show her everything. She hasn't left my side since. We are companions and best friends and if you don't have a puppy I will take you to go and adopt one right now because you are missing out big time. Here are five reasons that our dogs are the true loves of our lives:

1. They will always be excited to see you

When the garage door opens my puppy sits there patiently waiting for me to open the main door to the house. Once I enter the house she goes crazy. She will always be the first one to greet me and I am so thankful for that. It puts a smile on my face every single time and I will always scoop her up and cuddle her for a bit.

2. They are the best cuddlers

As I already said, I am currently cuddling with my puppy right now. Dogs will always be down for a cuddle. They will smoosh up right against you and lay their head right on you and you will just die a little bit inside from the cuteness. No human can compare to puppy cuddles.

3. They will never judge your car singing

When you are pretending to be the whitest rapper alive in the car your dog will just continue to stick their head out the window with a little grin on their face in approval. You can rap that whole verse without messing up. Your dog believes in you.

4. They are the best listeners

Whenever you need to let out steam and just go off on something your dog will be there to listen to you. They will not judge you or give you a look. They will maybe give a little head tilt every now and then and you will question yourself as to why you are talking to a dog, but it's fine, it's totally fine.

5. They are always grateful

You can bring them home a 99 cent toy from Walmart and they will be ecstatic over it. No matter what you give them they will take it with grace and love you for it. You may even get a few puppy kisses out of it.

All in all dogs and animals are just awesome. Again, I will take you to go get a puppy right now...let's go I'm being serious. An animal is an amazing love to have and you will have so many happy memories with them.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
