Now that I'm all the way down here, I should probably get to studying. Nah, instead I'll tell you why B2 in the library is the perfect place to study, while I procrastinate my studying.
1. It actually may be on the northwest side of east Asia. And it also may take you three plane rides to get there.
The fact that it is so far down into the basement and away from the rest of the world makes it a wonderful place to get lost in your studying (you may also get lost on the way there too but that's just the beginning). While you're down there no one will stroll by and strike up a conversation about that journalism test you had yesterday. This is probably, most likely, solely because no one is anywhere near you. But if you're like me, that's probably for the better.
2. It's always quiet.
This is most likely also due to the fact that you're more than likely completely alone. More quiet = less distractions = more work done. You win!
3. No one can ever see you.
Shelves and shelves of books give you all the protection you need if you're in for a long night and there's the possibility of a tear rolling down your cheek at some point. Gotta be prepared for anything right? College is tough. Crying always helps. And I didn't want to mention it, but if you're having one of those days, you probably don't look too hot either. Thank goodness you're in the northwest end of nowhere. More winning.
4. It also protects you from judgment.
Maybe you want to congratulate yourself on finishing a fantastic essay or maybe you need a little motivation to force you to start that essay. (We all know which one is the real answer…) Either way, Netflix is always there for you. One short little episode can’t hurt. Thank goodness for those books that protect you from the judgements of over motivated onlookers. Hey, let me do me.
5. You feel smarter.
Studying while surrounded by rows and rows of books? Geez, maybe all that knowledge from those books will seep into me if I spend enough time with them. It's worth a try. I'm a believer in miracles, and even if it doesn't work, at least anything I'll ever need to look up is at the tip of my fingertips. Research is my middle name.
