5 Reasons Why Your Next Vacation Must Be In Buenos Aires, Argentina

Each country I visit, I think is unique. I have to admit some places have surprised me; Argentina was one of them. Many of my friends went to Buenos Aires before me and I did not understand why. To me, this South American city has nothing special until I visited.

What a surprise. Buenos Aires is amazing. I know when you read the news, Argentina always is shown as a complicated place, and it is, but all of Latin America is a complicated place.
My best piece of advice is: Do not forget the chance to go to Buenos Aires, and Argentina in general.

1. Cultural City.

You know a city is fantastic when you can find a book store, theater and Bohemia coffee shop. It is incredible how many book stores this city has, which means it is a city full of people reading. Also, one of the most impressive book stores in the world is in Buenos Aires. I have been to "Ateneo," and it is unbelievable and full of people.

The coffee shops also are the best because they are not like Starbucks (I like Starbucks); they have their own hippie - artistic style. As soon as you enter, you want to start writing or thinking about life.

2. Affordable.

The ticket to Argentina is expensive, but as soon as you are there, everything is so cheap. For example, you can get two croissants and a coffee for less than $5 in a coffee shop. Even the hotel room is not expensive; of course, you can go to an expensive one, but they are too many affordable options.

3. Gourmet.

Kurious

If you like meat, Argentina is the best place in the world for you. They are famous for the quality of their cows. If you are vegetarian or vegan, the options are good too. For example, they love so much pizza that Argentinians think they make better pizzas than in Italy.

4. Weather.

The funny fact about Argentina is when in the US it is winter; it is Summer in Argentina and vice-versa. Then, if you want to have a hot-Christmas, you can go there, or if you're going to ski in August, you also can go there.

5. Sports.

Buenos Aires is one of the capitals of soccer. It has two fantastic soccer teams Boca Juniors and River Plate, so there is always a chance to go to a game. Besides, there are many other sports you can watch there: hockey, motoring, tennis and boxing.

So, next time you think about traveling to a new place, Buenos Aires must be on your list. Only I want to advise you; if you think about Latin America with the stereotype of a tropical location, full of chaos and pina colada, Buenos Aires is not your option.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
