I have never really been a fan of listening to people talking while I work on things, but one of my friends told me to listen to a podcast that she loved and I thought, 'why not!' So I decided to give it a shot, since it was all about true crime and murders and fun stuff like that. Okay, maybe fun is not the right word, but you get the point. I listened to one episode and I was hooked, and you should be too!

So if you like true crime, mixed with a little comedy and quirkiness, Here are five reasons why you need to be listening to the podcast "My Favorite Murder."

1. Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark are basically the BFFs you wish you had. These ladies have everything but the kitchen sink going on! They are f*ucking hilarious and will guarantee to make you laugh about things you didn't know you could laugh about! If you are having a not so awesome day, give them a listen and it will turn your frown upside down, at least for a moment before all the murdery talk starts.

2. Who doesn't love catch phrases and a cat named Elvis. "Stay Sexy, Don't get Murdered! Elvis do you want a cookie?" Almost every episode ends like that, and its simply just great and it gives you warm and fuzzys! And on the plus side, you can literally end any conversation with "Stay Sexy, Don't get murdered!"

3. Who doesn't love some true crime? I mean, okay, maybe not everybody likes true crime, but the fact that there are people out there who will indulge you in the one thing you have a not so secret obsession about is just what you need! And the way K & G present these murders keeps you coming back for more. Probably because their personalities are quirky and like stated in #1, they are literally the BFFs you wish you had.

4. K & G talk about real life shit. K & G talk about things that are real. They talk about anxiety and depression and how they deal with it on a daily basis. They are always down to help their listeners through their own struggles or point them in the right direction so they can get the help they need! These ladies care beyond what could ever be asked of them and that makes them pretty badass if I do say so myself!

5. Life advice for the win. Do you ever need some very awe-inspiring life advice directed at not getting murdered? Well K & G have got your back! They spit it out like it's their job. Like if "you're in a cult, call your dad" or "hitchhiking is the best way to guarantee you'll get murdered" or "stay out of the forest" and my personal fav, "F*ck politeness."

Stay classy murderios and remember "Stay Sexy and Don't get Murdered!"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
