"Oh, the places you'll go!"
Some of my favorite experiences I have ever had were on a vacation or exploring somewhere new. I want to definitely travel when I am out of school, show people places some will never go, visit a culture that accepts ideas that mine doesn't, and get out and widen the horizons. The people and the places you meet define who you are as a person, so I wan't to visit these places specifically because they hold a lot of meaning to me, even if I haven't been there yet.
1. Scotland
If you have ever seen the show "Outlander," I think we can agree that we all want a redheaded warrior to sweep us off our feet in the Highlands of Scotland (I already have one, thank goodness!) but what makes this place so spectacular is the people and the history that surrounds it. Many would want to visit the city so they can explore but for me, I will stick to nature.
2. London
I know this is kind of a basic one, but honestly, who wouldn't want to go to a place with so much history and diversity. London is a hub of different cultures and cuisines and isn't limited in options.
3. Finland
If you know me,you know my ancestors are from here. I have always wanted to see what it is like up in the North. Finland has some amazing boating and fishing industries and fish is one of the main dishes up there. It is a beautiful place and not the first on many people's wish lists but I think with a little coverage, more people will experience this place
4. Germany
This is where the other part of my ancestors are. I really want to visit during one of it's prime times, Oktoberfest. I want to see how the other side lives and see what an authentic fest is like. Also seeing Berlin has always been a top on my list.
5. Spain
Barcelona has been featured in a lot of my favorite movies and T.V. shows and to see it in real life would be a treat. The beach, the sun, and the amazing food. Everyone seems pretty content there, to sit and relax or catch some waves.
