5 Places To Move To After The Election

I am writing this on the night of Election Day. As of right now, Donald Trump is in the lead with 197 electoral votes. No matter what the outcome is and no matter who is elected the 45th President of the United States, the country is going to be split down the middle and will not be the same. So if you don’t feel like dealing with the next four years of crap this country will go through, I’ve compiled a list of the top five countries that you can move to because Canada just isn’t far enough!

1. Aruba

Aruba is approximately 1,870 miles away from Washington D.C. It's absolutely beautiful. Crystal clear water and white sand beaches are just a tiny bit to look forward to. Living there is like being on vacation all the time.

2. France

France is 3,892 miles away from the US. Why wouldn't anyone want to live in France? Paris is quite expensive but towns and cities in different parts of France are magnificent. You can spend your days wandering along the beaches in Nice or sitting at a cafe, eating a pastry in Lyon!

3. Sweden

Sweden is 4,134 miles away from America. Besides the beauty of the country, Sweden has free universal healthcare and free college! Who doesn't love that?

4. Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is 4,284 miles away from the US. This one I'm a little biased towards because I will be moving here in January. Prague is full of history and culture plus it's extremely cheap to live here so what's stopping you?!

5. New Zealand

If any of the other options don't seem far enough, New Zealand is a whopping 8,729 miles away from Washington D.C. New Zealand has all the perks of Australia but without the giant bugs!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
