Have you ever scrolled through your Instagram for the billionth time and just gotten broad with the visuals that show spotlights of your personal life to the public? Most of us can relate and whether you're using these tactics to promote your brand or promote yourself, photography plays a huge part in how people perceive your photos online and when it comes to photography, you can mess with angles, lighting, and different lenses all you want, but the location is everything. Here are my go-to venues for picture perfect posts.
1. A sporting event
For me, there's almost nothing that compares to the rush you feel when the home team makes a big play or upsets a team in outstanding fashion. Pictures at these events not only capture the energy and feel of the stadium, but with the stadium lighting, the home crowd color coordination, and the field in the background, sports game posts are a staple on Instagram due to their aesthetic pleasure.
2. Landmarks
Local landmarks not only add a sense of homeliness to your Instagram page, but they can also make for magnificent spectacles. Whether it be one that points toward tradition and history or a New Age modern architectural phenomenon such as shown above, you can't go wrong with showing off a little bit of your hometown in your page.
3. Old school arcade
With the rise in popularity of shows like "Stranger Things", media has given us a feeling of appreciation for the '70s and; 80s. Throw on that pair of jeans your grandpa constantly tells you has holes in them at Thanksgiving dinner, your favorite classic rock band tee from Hot Topic, use all the hairspray in the can, and hit your followers with some "Bad Medicine".
4. Cafe
There's just something about a cafe that stimulates comfort, warmth, and good feelings. Bring that to your followers' feed as the natural lighting, cool color schemes, and steaming cups of coffee reel in their attention and draw in their interest.
5. Downtown
Although some of the spots mentioned prior to going downtown will most likely be there, nothing says "I mean business" like a picture next to a massive skyscraper in your most dapper business wear. Let your followers know that to be successful, you have to speak it, or in this case, post it into existence.
With the influx of marketing social media has evolved into nowadays, it's important to supply your consumers with their demands. Whether it be, pictures downtown or pictures in the countryside, know your audience, know what they like, and know how to capture and keep their attention. Do this, and there is no limit to how large your platform can reach.
