Did someone mention cuddling season? Well... there's no better time to watch some classic scary movies with your favorite people! Grab the popcorn because I have a list of spine chilling movies that will keep you at the edge of your couch. Also, if you're not of fan of this fantastic holiday known as Halloween I may even add to the list a bonus "not so spooky" horror film that everyone of all ages can enjoy... So check the list out and you might reconsider.
1) Halloween (1978)
Unlike some of the newer horror movies out in theatres there's something that makes the Michael Myers series a little different. Between the soundtrack and the special effects, it adds a chilling feel to the atmosphere. The music in these series are generally picked from the early 20's, this gives the movies a wicked effect that makes it creepy!
2) Dark Ride (2006)
Growing up we all had that one scary movie we were dying to see... but mom & dad just weren't hearing it! No worries, your best friend comes to the rescue and calls for a sleepover. Since we all wouldn't mind spending a day at an amusement park let's find out what happened at this particular attraction known as Asbury Park in NJ. So, if you're up for one heck of a ride, follow these six friends on their journey through an abandoned amusement park on Hallows Eve.
3) The Birds (1963)
Mysterious yet terrifying at the same time, this movie can make your blood run cold! This time it's not the ghost we have to fear it's something we see every day... Birds! In this classic mystery a town falls into chaos when these birds begin to attack the locals. There is no explanation nor is there anywhere to hide.
4) The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005)
Alright... as if freshmen year in college isn't hard enough, try battling a demon on top of it. Get your old college buddies and reminisce on your memories but also check out this unusual college experience from Emily Rose. Having a roommate might not have been the worst thing ever!
5) The Amityville Horror (1979)
This classic scary movie is enough to make the hairs on your head stand up! Did I mention it was based on a true story! If you are interested in the unexplainable ghost stories of this world you will most certainly enjoy this entertaining twist of a real life terrorizing ghost story.
Bonus Halloween movie for everyone!
My all-time favorite movie I cannot go a Halloween without seeing is Hocus Pocus (1993)
A little scary if you think deeper into the actual Salem Witch Trials but definitely still a comedy for the family during the Hallows eve holiday!
