WOMEN!!!

March is Women's History Month-- thirty-one days in which we celebrate the persistence and accomplishments of so many strong, inspirational women. Of course, it's amazing that a whole month is dedicated to acknowledging how incredible women are. It made me so happy on International Women's Day to see all of the posts (several of which were from men!) on social media about the lasting influence of women. It was so beautiful to see my female peers and close friends posting photos of their fellow women, thanking them for being such empowering people in their lives.

But being aware of the power of women shouldn't be limited to just a single month out of the entire year. Recognizing the importance of women should be prevalent twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, for all twelve months of each year. So much progress has been made when it comes to how women are treated. Yet, it's still important to keep in mind that every single day is a great day to appreciate females, regardless of their race, age, sexuality, or religion.

Suprise a woman (or a young girl, such as a baby sister) in your life by telling her how special and she is. During those moments when you realize just how important she is in your life, let her know. Trust me, a simple acknowledgment can go a very long way.

For those of us who are stuck working while it rains, the day is very different from rainy, lazy, days where we can read and relax at home. Several different types of careers are affected by the rain, from those who spend all day indoors to those that have to work outside or with children.
