As much as I love shopping at drugstores and getting great deals on inexpensive makeup products, there are just some things I must splurge on. These products may be on the pricier side, but they are worth every penny and make me look great even after a long day. If you are in the market to try some new amazing makeup from Sephora or Ulta, here are 5 of my holy grail makeup products that I could not live without.

1. Beauty Blender

I truly believe this sponge is responsible for making my foundation and concealer look amazing and natural. It is exclusively sold in stores at Sephora (although it is also sold online), and it is around 20 dollars. This seems like a ridiculous price tag for a sponge, and for a long time I refused to buy it due to the price. However, I tried it once and now I cannot go back to anything else. Nothing blends concealer out the way a Beauty Blender does.

2. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

Speaking of concealer, the Tarte Shape Tape concealer is hands down the best concealer I have ever tried. Not only is it full-coverage and easy to blend, but it is also lightweight. The best feature of this concealer is that is doesn't get cakey. For some brands, color selection can be a real issue for people with very light or very dark skin tones. However, tarte has 14 different color options and almost anyone will be able to find the perfect shade.

3. Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation

If you thought Tarte Shape Tape concealer had a decent amount of color options, wait until you find out how many color options the Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation has. This foundation comes in 24 different colors ensuring a person with any skin tone and any undertone can find a good match. This foundation is full-coverage and has a beautiful finish. It isn't dewy, so people will oily skin will like it. I have very dry skin, but it does not dry my skin out at all. It dries down on the skin which means that you can get away with not setting this foundation. However, I always set it to make sure it lasts throughout the entire day.

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

Although it seems like most people are obsessed with either the Brow Wiz or the Brow Definer, the Dipbrow Pomade has stolen my heart. I have found that it is easier and quicker to dip a small brush into the pot of brow product and quickly outline and fill them in rather than use a pencil. This product covers the gaps in my brows well and stays put all day long.

5. Bareminerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lip Color

This liquid lipstick is my holy grail, must-be-in-my-purse-at-all-times liquid lipstick. The best part about this product is that it really isn't a matte liquid lipstick at all, even though it says it is in the name. Truthfully, this product is exactly what it sounds like: a lipstick that is in liquid form. It does not dry down completely matte and does not crack off. However, this does mean that it isn't transfer proof and must be reapplied throughout the day. It can be slightly drying, but putting on another coat of the lip product throughout the day will usually fix that. The color stays on the lips for a long time and I just can't get over how easy it is to apply and how comfortable it is to wear throughout the day.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
