5 Hidden Places To Study During Finals At ECU

5 Hidden Places To Study During Finals At ECU

With finals quickly approaching, Joyner library is always full of students and there is never enough places to sit. Here are a couple different places around ECU to study for finals!

1. Starbucks on 10th Street  We already have two Starbucks locations on campus but each of those locations are always so busy! With only a quick walk from campus, the 10th Street Starbucks has plenty of seating and is a quiet atmosphere for those of you looking to fully concentrate on your studying!

2. West End Dining Hall during finals the dining halls are open for studying! Even if you do not live on campus, this is a great place to study. During finals the dining hall is open to all students, all you have to do it bring your one card. During these hours the dining hall has food provided. So while your studying you can take a snack break and enjoy all the great food the dining hall provides.

3. Mendenhall Student Center  Mendenhall is a great place to study during finals. Many students do not know but Mendenhall has many places to study even during the year. Also at Mendenhall, down in the basement you get free printing, so for all those study guides you'll be filling out you will be able to print them for free. Mendenhall is also home to Destination 360, so while your studying you can head over to Chick Fil A or Panda Express and grab a quick bite to eat. 

4. The Bottom of the Dorms at the bottom of all the dorms there are many tables and chairs provided for students to study. During finals, the dorms have mandatory quiet hours during the whole week of finals. This allows students to be respectful of all the other students in the dorms studying for their finals. 

5. Wright Place is located in Wright Plaza, right next to Dowdy Student Stores is the perfect place to study for finals. I have studied here many times. They have many tables that you are able to spread of all your things out without getting in anyone's way. Also it is located right next to Starbucks for your coffee fix. They also have many other food options, when you get hungry such as, Einstein Bagels for breakfast or The Cupola for a slice of pizza. Many students do not go here to study so it is a great quiet place to study for your finals.

So with finals coming up, try out these different locations to study instead of Joyner Library!
