You’d think that being on a campus full of college students it would be easy to find someone who I’m interested in, but there are two problems with meeting people in college:
1) The people you get close enough to are either part of your friend group.
2) They aren’t looking for anything serious.
I mean it’s college... this is the time we get to hoe around.
So I turned my search to dating apps. I just wanted to get out and have some fun. After two days on the app, I’ve given up on the male species, or perhaps just those on dating apps. Here is a list of the type of guys you can expect to meet on dating apps.
1. The Right Swipe
One of my good friends is, unfortunately, one of these guys. He swipes right on everyone, so that if they do swipe right on him then he has a huge selection of people he can talk to. This keeps his selection pool big. *rolling my eyes*
2. The Girlfriend
I had finally found someone who seemed nice enough that I'd go on a date with. He made the mistake of giving me his last name and being the super sleuth that I am... I instantly found him on Instagram and Facebook. Turns out he has a girlfriend … so that date didn’t happen.
3. The Fake Intellectual
This one slid into my chats talking about social and economic issues happening in our world. I’ll admit he had me fooled for a while, but then he came in with his key line. “I’m down to hook-up, but only with an intellectual that I feel a connection with.” *rolling my eyes*
4. The Booty Call
We had literally just said hi to each other when he goes, “damn your legs are sexy can’t wait to be in between them.” I truly hope no girl ever lets him in between her legs with those sad pick-up lines.
5. The Dog Filter
If you see the Snapchat dog filter *SWIPE LEFT *. Any guy using the dog filter is telling you he is a dog. Don’t waste your time unless that is what you are looking for.
